The Vision for Rise Up – Discerning God’s Heart

One of the foundational covenants of the leadership of Watchmen for the Nations is that they would never initiate gatherings or any other event but wait on the Lord until they received a clear mandate from God.

The process of waiting and discerning the Lord’s voice takes many forms. Some times God will speak as the leadership gathers; in other cases prophetic words, dreams or vision may come from different leaders throughout the nation and they are tested and prayed into by a representation of the Cluster and Shield before a call is made.

In the case of the Rise Up gatherings, the Lord began showing us his heart at the Homecoming Gathering.

Then On July 11, 2004, following the Homecoming Gathering, the Cluster and Shield met to seek the Lord as to His next steps in preparing for the covenantal wedding between English and French Canada in July 2005.

As prophetic words, prayers and messages were brought by leaders from throughout Canada and the nations, the vision for the Rise Up intercessory gatherings was birthed.

These words have been received and tested by a collective representation of church leadership from throughout Canada. We believe these to represent God's heart and direction to our nation at this time.
